can your last first kiss
have my name written on it
can you stay in mine
if I color in your lines
and if I say I love you
it means forever this time

kellasandra's musings
can your last first kiss
have my name written on it
can you stay in mine
if I color in your lines
and if I say I love you
it means forever this time
if I remember my November
there was beauty in its moments
days wrapped in a borrowed sweater
in wandering thoughts of lost innocence
nights wrapped in a stolen blanket
inside drifting dreams to reminiscence
a bourbon held high in the air
for the happiest of birthdays spent
another held tightly in tears
for the saddest of losses went
and thankful for all in the end
a long slow goodbye to the month I call my own
shadows of a heart
in its perfect denial subtle delusions
of lullabies I can’t forget
haunting me before i wake
every night I’m dancing with your ghost
where the shadows can’t catch us
haunting me in my darkest fairytale
in the light of Octobers cold morning moon
Octobers opus
of thirty one sunsets
with its crimson canvas hung perfectly in crisp air
mirroring summers last warmth
vivid reds, yellows and orange leaves fall
dancing to the ground
invite magic, macabre and myth
in its finale filled with children’s laughter
and with its last turns of the weather vane
ebony heavens as dark as ravens
calls out to our mortal realm
to gaze upon its opalescent moon
and its celestial ovation of meteors and stars
waiting is the hardest
missing the sound of your voice
the phone hasn’t rung
watching the television
hoping for no news at all
moments in slumber
float like fireflies around me
in hypnotic darkness
like angels with burning wings
rising across the night sky
within these shadows
in these moments of surrender
this heart is unafraid
mine belongs to you alone
your home I will always be
will death love me back
soon questions my silent nights
can I be your time
can I stay in your colors
can you hold me till the end
in my lost September
the air sighs a cooling breeze
the days sing with school bells
emerald colors start to slumber
and the soil asks for its rest
and under a harvest moon
are caramel apples and Ferris wheels
and nights echoing from a lakeside choir
yet there are moments in between
that are stained in sadness
with names written in dust and broken glass
the clocks stopped
the air screamed
endlessly lost is my September
